Designing a digital currency portfolio mobile application
Role: Product Experience Designer
Timeline: July 2018-December 2018
Project Overview
OTT mobile wallet is a multi-currency application that allows users to keep and manage their digital currencies. It provides a platform for users to buy, transfer, exchange, and spend fiat and cryptocurrencies.
Goal
The goal of this project was to visualize user experience in the app step by step and create design assets that will allow people to understand the product value and user interaction with the app.
My Role
I led the whole design process in very close collaboration with stakeholders. My work includes research, including market research and user interviews, affinity diagramming, creating user flow, designing low-fidelity and high-fidelity.
Research
Over the past years, bitcoin and cryptocurrency have become very popular in the digital currency industry and people are getting into doing more investments in cryptocurrencies.
For this project, I decided to start by doing some industry research, market research of other competitors and doing multiple stakeholders and user interviews to understand the market and our product value. I gathered user requirements, user goals in order to know the user’s needs better. In addition to that, I created an affinity diagram to organize all the ideas and information about the product, and a concept map to demonstrate what is happening beyond the interface.

User Flows
To understand the architecture of the app, main features, and making sure that we cover all the user’s requirements, I worked on creating the user flows.

Low fidelity wireframes
Based on the user flows I created, I designed wireframes for the main paths in the app, such as funding, trade, transfer, delivery, payment, and portfolio. Creating wireframes was really helpful as we did many reviews and iterations on wireframes to finalize the visual concept.
